New Patients
Our team is committed to building long-term relationships and ensuring you receive personalised care from day one.
At Improve Your Smile, we’re delighted to welcome new patients of all ages to our practice. From the moment you walk through the door, you’ll find a warm, friendly team dedicated to helping you feel at ease.
Your first visit includes a thorough Oral Health Assessment, time to discuss your goals, and a clear treatment plan tailored just for you. We take the time to listen, answer your questions, and explain everything step by step.
Whether you’re here for general care or exploring ways to improve your smile, you’re in safe hands with us.

A new patient examination is a comprehensive Oral Health Assessment where your dentist will take the time to understand your medical history, assess your dental health, and discuss any goals you have for your smile. It will probably take around 45 to 60 minutes. If we need to chat more about your treatment options, we’ll schedule a complimentary follow-up appointment.
It's all about getting to know you and your concerns and planning a way forward to optimise your oral health. So you know what to expect, here's what's included in your new patient examination:
Medical history - we want to make sure we’re looking after you safely.
Thorough examination of your teeth and gums.
Oral cancer screening - looking for lumps and bumps and anything out of the ordinary.
Taking a digital scan using our 3D Scanner.
Taking pictures with our intra-oral camera as well as digital photographs so we can show you what we can see.
Bite assessment - checking your jaw alignment.
Cavity detection.
Tooth-wear assessment - are you grinding your teeth? Have you lost tooth structure?
X-rays.
Blood pressure check.
Oral health education and advice.
Treatment planning.

If you’re interested in root canal treatment, we can schedule a consultation with either Dr Eva Gazani or Dr Spencer Richman, our Dentists with a Special Interest in Endodontics. No treatment will happen on the day of your visit. It's simply a chance for your dentist to take a look at your teeth and discuss any potential treatments, if needed.
Many of our patients and team have shared that since joining Improve Your Smile, they've felt more at ease at the dentist and their fear has been minimised. So, take a deep breath and book your appointment today, knowing that you're in good hands.
If treatment nerves are getting to you, why not consider conscious sedation? It will help you slip into a state of complete relaxation before your procedure. You can choose to receive conscious sedation intravenously or orally. Once administered, the sedative works its magic right away and gently fades within a few hours, leaving you with only pleasant memories of the procedure.
Our wonderful visiting Sedationist/Consultant in Special Care Dentistry, Dr Damien Reilly, will be by your side, walking you through your treatment and what to expect afterwards. So, sit back, relax, and let us take care of the rest.
