A Model Practice!

Amy

Amy is a case in point. A successful dancer, actress and model from Corpus Christi, Texas, she has always felt that she missed out on some close-up beauty work because of her chipped front teeth. Her agency, Premier Models, recommended that she visit Woodford House and find out what could be done.

Amy was instantly put at her ease by the ‘spa feeling’ that the practice has. Dr Amjad Malik has many years experience in Smile Design and discussed the options that were open to her. Dr Malik recommended some recontouring of her teeth with composite (a very aesthetic, strong white filling material) and some fine filing of the uneven bottom of the teeth.

Jenny

Jenny is just starting out on her modelling career. Her boyfriend bought her a photoshoot as a present and she was so pleased with the results that she entered thelondonpaper’s ‘New Face for London’ model competition. She beat more than 600 entrants to the first prize and was offered a contract by top agency, Cape London.

Jenny has been concerned about the appearance of her smile, ‘forever’! She covered her mouth when she smiled and her teeth had also become somewhat discoloured. When Cape London suggested that she should visit Woodford House she jumped at the chance. ‘It was something that I had considered before but just not got around to’, Jenny explains.

Dr Malik felt that 5 porcelain veneers would deliver the new smile that Jenny craved. Jenny said, ‘I was a little concerned about the possibility of pain, but in fact it was a doddle! It has completely changed me – all of my friends have commented on the fact that I can’t stop smiling!’ Jenny is now attending many castings and test shoots and looking forward to starting her career with real confidence.

Monica

Monica, 21, is originally from Romania and has wanted to be a model since she was 15. She decided to come to London as it is a world centre for modelling and she knew someone at an agency.

Monica had been concerned about the appearance of her smile for some time and the fact that it could prevent her from getting some modelling jobs. She was put in touch with Woodford House through her agency, Premier Models.
